About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer on behalf of a client in the real estate and construction industry to support the delivery and performance of electrical systems across the client’s projects and properties. The role will be involved in electrical design and review, site supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and quality control, while supporting the effective operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
The ideal candidate has practical experience with building electrical systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure electrical works are delivered to the required technical, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Job Description
Design, review, and coordinate electrical systems for building projects.
Review electrical drawings, schematics, load schedules, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
Supervise and inspect electrical installations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
Coordinate electrical works with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other building services.
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure electrical works meet required quality, programme, and technical standards.
Support testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of electrical issues throughout projects.
Provide technical input into electrical material selection, procurement, cost estimates, variations, and bills of quantities.
Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and site challenges while maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably within construction, real estate development, or building services.
Proven experience supervising and coordinating electrical works on construction sites.
Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and related systems.
Ability to read, interpret, review, and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; familiarity with electrical design and calculation software is an added advantage.
Knowledge of relevant electrical standards, construction practices, and health and safety requirements.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
